A shared commitment to bright futures

At Meadowvale Toyota, community is at the heart of everything we do. That’s why we’re incredibly proud to once again be part of the « Start To Finish » back to school initiative, a meaningful program that provides essential school supplies to children in need across our region.

Each year, our team comes together to support students who may not have access to the tools they need to succeed in school. This year was no exception thanks to the generosity of our employees and the ongoing support from Toyotoshi Group Ontario, we were able to assemble 93 fully stocked backpacks for children from Junior Kindergarten through 8th grade.

These aren’t just bags, they’re filled with hope, confidence, and everything from pencils and crayons to markers and lunch packs. Every item is hand-selected based on the official school supply list provided by Start To Finish, ensuring that no student is left behind on the first day of class.

Employee-led giving, year-round support

What makes this initiative even more special is that it’s driven by our people. Over the course of the year, employees across all Toyotoshi Group Ontario dealerships take part in fundraising activities such as Jeans Day (where a small donation earns a casual day at work) and 50/50 draws, which help raise funds in a fun and engaging way.

This year, those efforts combined to raise an impressive $2,500, directly supporting the purchase of school supplies and backpacks. The rest was generously covered by the Toyotoshi Group Ontario, a true team effort that reflects the values we live by every day.

Small actions, big Impact

The smiles on the children’s faces when they receive their “cool new backpacks” is all the motivation we need to keep this tradition keep going on. It’s more than just a gesture, it’s about erasing the effects of child poverty, boosting self-esteem, and giving every child the chance to start the school year with pride and possibility.

At Meadowvale Toyota, we believe that supporting our community means more than offering great service; it means showing up, giving back, and creating positive change wherever we can. The Back to School initiative is just one of the many ways we live our commitment beyond the showroom.
